After yesterdays very seasonal snow fall it seemed only appropriate to get out there with the camera this morning. Walking through the woods I came across this tree, dappled in snow and the texture was fantastic. Whilst photographing the snow clinging to the trunk I glances up into its branches and was captivated. The strength of the tree running slightly off centre through the image I took is amazing, especially after I converted it to black and white. The branches of the other trees almost form a circular frame around the tree which helps to reinforce its power, as does the effect produced by the wide angle lens.
There’s a simple lesson here, don’t forget to look around, you never know what you may find.
